Alternative Payment Methods

Payments for the Standalone flow are taken inside the CarTrawler web booking flow. Credit Card payments are used as standard but there are alternative payment methods outlined below. For In Path with Grid View, payment is completed by you in your own basket flow using the returned payload.

PayPal

PayPal is available for Standalone integrations. The user authenticates through the PayPal website from the web booking flow. This feature needs to be enabled on the CarTrawler side so talk to your CarTrawler representative about this.

Apple Pay

For the majority of integrations Apple Pay is available for use on the condition that Apple Pay is already available in your app. This feature needs to be enabled on the CarTrawler side so talk to your CarTrawler representative about this.

Google Pay

For the majority of integrations Google Pay is available for use on the condition that Google Pay is already available in your app. Google Pay is offered inside the web booking flow through the Android WebView Payment Request API, so it is only shown on devices whose WebView supports it. This feature needs to be enabled on the CarTrawler side so talk to your CarTrawler representative about this.
